Disaster Relief Fund and Hurricane Dorian Assistance are Officially Active

As Hurricane Dorian made its way across coastal eastern North Carolina last Friday, we are now working closely with The American Red Cross of Eastern North Carolina Region and other agencies to help ensure that help is on the way! While we are so extremely fortunate in many of our Eastern North Carolina counties, that the damages from Dorian were less than had been anticipated, there were indeed a few counties and coastal towns that were hit very substantially and have suffered quite a bit of damage. In addition to flooding and loss of power, several islands were hit hard. Ocracoke, Cape Hatteras and others, have sustained loss of housing, businesses and severe damages to their roads and have limited abilities to transport resources in or out.

Our foundation will work together as we have in the past, with our donor families, community and regional partners, to provide assistance and much needed resources to help get our beautiful coastal communities restored and back to their beautiful and pristine surroundings that everyone loves, appreciates and calls home. In addition, these stunning coastal communities serve as major tourist destinations for families from across North Carolina and the United States. We need your help and your donations to enable us to get them the assistance they deserve.

We thank you for your consideration of providing donations to our Disaster Relief Fund and we will remain diligent and committed, like always, to helping our neighbors, friends and eastern North Carolina come back stronger than ever! Your support of our Disaster Relief Fund will help us enable other organizations that provide immediate assistance, to do the jobs they do best, and for us to get the help they deserve to them right away.
