The Community Foundation of NC East selects 2019 Duke Executive Nonprofit Leadership Scholars

The Community Foundation of NC East is very pleased to announce that three outstanding recipients of our 2019 Duke Executive Leadership in Nonprofits have just completed their program. Our foundation, in partnership with Wells Fargo, has been the proud sponsor of numerous Nonprofit Leaders across eastern North Carolina for several years, to provide full scholarship funding in excess of $5000 per scholar, to attend the Duke University Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Program, this is one of only two outstanding programs of its kind in the United States. One is offered at Harvard University and the other at Duke. The Duke Program is truly outstanding and provides a full week of intense, expert instruction by top leaders in this nations industry, as well as brings together Nonprofit Leaders from across the US and globally. Only 30 Scholars or less are selected each year, so we are always honored to be able to send our regions most outstanding leaders.

Our 2019 Scholars are as follows: Vann Pearsall, Director of Development at North Carolina Coastal Land Trust, Bethany Leighton, Community Engagement Director of Step Up Wilmington, and Liz Liles, Executive Director of Daughters of Worth in Greenville, NC.
